Welcome to Klahanie Klahanie. Its very name means “outdoors” in the Chinook language. It has come to mean something more though - a “community.” A community people can live their entire lives in.   A community that offers a variety of living units and activities to fit most lifestyles. Klahanie is a 900-acre master planned community located on the Sammamish Plateau in Issaquah, Washington.  Klahanie opened in May 1985 and was completed in 1998.  We have 3092 living units including apartments, condominiums and single family homes as well as over 30 commercial sites located in the shopping plaza. We have over 300 acres of common property, which include many small parks, a large play area, and 25+ miles of trails. Our amenities include basketball and tennis courts, and 2 heated pools, one of which is covered by a bubble during the winter months for year round swimming. In addition each homeowner is automatically a voting member of the Klahanie Association.
