The Board Corner: Thank You, Kathy

At the last Board meeting, Kathy Salb announced her resignation from the Board. We would like to express our appreciation for Kathy’s leadership and service to the community. Her unique ability to bridge gaps, along with her wit and thoughtfulness, will be deeply missed. With Kathy’s permission, we are sharing her (unedited) resignation statement.

The Board is aware, but I wanted to state during the Board meeting that, due to stress-related health issues, I am resigning effective tomorrow. 

I am so thankful that the current Board is in place and that Klahanie will be under the direction of a group who are fiscally responsible, have a deep desire to be transparent and are committed to obtaining community input.

The past six months have been an extremely difficult and stressful time for Klahanie, and for the Board in particular.  The election results demonstrated a mandate from the community to slow things down and give more thought to our future. 

My hope is that those whose views were not reflected in the election mandate start conducting themselves in a manner which is less combative and more cooperative. 

Together, we can do what's best for Klahanie.
